1086 SQl-queries at frontpage?

I was wondering if 1086 SQL-queries are "normal" for virtuemart frontPage?

I am on jml 2.5.14 and sr vm 2.0.14. I have 15 categories, some of them with subcategories. 400 products in these categories. At the FrontPage I show

categories
and
2 lines a 4 products (latest)

Is 1086 not a bit much for that? Have no clue, pls give me a hint

I don't think this is unusually high, although my own live shop (VM 2.0.22a) currently shows approximately 230 database queries (8 categories on frontpage plus 4 latest products plus 2 featured products). The db queries are running very fast, so I don't think that's a problem. But if you look at the queries, do have by chance a very large number of 'SELECT `joxjk_virtuemart_medias`.*' ? If yes, you might use the Firefox plugin 'Firebug' to see which images are loading and how much memory and loading time these images consume.
