Do I need the login function?

I'm setteing up a small webshop for a yogasenter. We're selling cards for 10 or 20 hours of yogatraining. That's it.

The customer will get his or her card at the yogasenter after payment through VM. The cards are noe sendt in the mail.

Do I even need the login function in VM? For what?
Many of my customers are older women not used to the e-mail/login, registration etc.

I'd like them to have to only register name and possibly an adress and the possibility to order and pay for a card. The payment will be through a Norwegian VISA payment I've already partally installed. They will be more than happy to write in their name and adress once each three months or so to buy a new card.
They will be asked to bring proof of payment to their first yogaclass, so all I need (or all I feel like nice to have) is their name. So for me it will be enough to have their name.

Do you see any use for me to making them log in?
Where do I remove the possibility, if I choose to remove it?

Is there anything I'm missing here? Any good reasons for me to make then register and logging in?

Thanks!

Anita :-)

AnitaTogstad,

Hi if you are only selling one product and it is ongoing? Like a membership?

You could just have a large item on the front of your shop and link it to paypal as an ongoing payment.
The customer just fills in the form once and away you go.

Paypal can set up ongoing or cycle payments option. Look there.

You do not require customers to login to purchase through VirtueMart.

In Configuration/Checkout you can deselect these two options:
On checkout, ask for registration
Only registered users can checkout
