keeping the $ qouter whilst disabling the shopping cart

Hello I've just installed and am currently running VirtueMart version 2.0.20b.

I've looked around the forums but haven't found an answer to my issue. My issue is I need the price quoter but not any shopping cart or check out functions, Instead of linking to the checkout I would like that step removed or to link out to my other website. Is this possible? Thanks in advance!
