VM2 shopping cart attributes and options for certain categories

Hope someone can help.
i have a virtuemart 2 shop and i have products divided into two categories, one is funeral flowers and the other is gift flowers.
i have setup a delivery date plugin for the shopper to choose the funeral day for delivery, also i have customised the notes at the bottom of the cart to ask for the deceased's name as the header.
Problem is,... for the gift flowers category, i wouldnt want the notes to ask for deceased name, nor would i want the delivery date plugin to ask for the funeral time,..
is there a logical way i could create a notes and delivery date for the second category ? or perhaps just hide the delivery date plugin and show only the notes for the gift flowers category >
any help or advice would be fab
