How to install language pack for Icelandic

Hello, I have the latest joomla and VM. Problem I am facing is that there is no icelandic translation for joomla 2.5 but I found an icelandic language pack for VM2. Now how do I install and use it if I can not set the language to is-IS in joomla settings ?

I just noticed your post. Where did you find a icelandic language pack for VM2? Currently I'm not aware of an icelandic translation. Someone requested a to open an icelandic translation within our VM2 project at Transifex.net (see this link: https://www.transifex.com/projects/p/virtuemart/), but it still is empty.

The latest icelandic Joomla translation I found is one for Joomla 1.6 available here: http://joomlacode.org/gf/project/jtranslation1_6/frs/?action=index

If you actually have icelandic VM2 language files, you could make a copy of the en-GB files and rename all files from "en-GB..." "is-IS...". Also change it in the xml file. Then make a zip file from it again and install with the Joomla extension manager.
