I have just upgraded VM to version 2.6 and the prices for all the products have disappeared.

I have looked for solutions everywhere I think possible and not getting any help at all.

The URL is: lamodelecollectionz.net

VM version: 2.6.0

Joomla 2.5.7

Thanks in advance

Possibly a configuration issue & most likely a problem with your commercial template. Test using the Beez Joomla template, and ask your template supplier if the template is compatible with current VM versions.   http://forum.virtuemart.net/index.php?topic=108212.0

You should update your Joomla version!  http://forum.virtuemart.net/index.php?topic=118683.0

Hi, Hope I am not highjacking your thread, since I am having same issues and googled every possible solution, nothing seems to work.

Its a fresh install of VM, price with discount and with taxes are showing up,but not the base price. Also tried changing templates to beez, same issues. Here is my backend setup of VM:

VM version 2.6.6
Joomla version: 2.5.20
PHP Version: 5.4.28

You can try the default template(Joomla beez) first.
If the price display is ok, the problem is coming from your custom template.

Template always uses template override technology for style designed.
You can compare the two templates files below(use diff tool like WinMerge):

1.Category browser page
components/com_virtuemart/views/virtuemart/tmpl/default_products.php
your_template/html/com_virtuemart/virtuemart/default_products.php
after line 66 (<div class="product-price"> section)

2.Product detail page
components/com_virtuemart/views/productdetails/tmpl/default_showprices.php
your_template/html/com_virtuemart/productdetails/default_showprices.php
after line 22  (<div class="product-price"> section)

Find the different and try to update your template override file.

Good luck,
Eddy

I'm chiming in here as I have the "exact" same problem.  I'm using the default template and earlier I actually saw the prices, but they have since disappeared.  I've even defaulted back to the original configuration using the tools thinking I must of touched something to create this problem.  What is appearing now is "Call For Price".  The poster above's screens, all but his product screen (mine is all in USD) are identical.  I don't have it on catalog, Prices are set to display and I removed my shopper group I was trying to setup when this all broke.  I reverted the products back to default shopper.

I was originally trying to set the site up to have non registered guest not see the prices and added another shopper group to see the prices.  From there it was down hill.  Now there are no prices at all.  I even restored my db before the changes thinking that would reset everything...that didn't work either.  I also cleared the cache - and purged the expired cache - trying anything and everything to get the system to go back to showing the prices, to no avail.  To be sure it wasn't my Joomla Template creating a problem, I changed to beez - same thing "call for price".

My next move is to rip it all out and start again... but I really need to create two shopping groups....

I've been at this for hours and being in the US it's the middle of the night and I was to have this ready by tomorrow - and I'm at a dead stop.

If you see "call for price" then there is no price set for the shopper group you are using. You could try disabling "Enable shoppergroup specific price display" on the shopper group edit tab. It certainly sounds like you have a misconfiguration of shopper groups, maybe incorrectly assigned to a group on the price panel. For a starting point the shopper group for price should be left at - Use Default - so prices will then show to non-logged in users.
