Parse error: syntax error, unexpected [NEED HELP]

Hi,
I am new to VM and I am having some issues with the installation. I have everything installed and it seems to be working fine but from the front end I am running into a syntax error. When I go into a category I see all of the products but when I click on one of them I get brought to an all white page with the following error:

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected '<' in /home/content/21/9611221/html/newgj/templates/yoo_catalyst/html/com_virtuemart/productdetails/default.php on line 2

Can someone please help?

Sounds like your yoo_catalyst template is using out of date or corrupt template overrides. Try renaming the templates/yoo_catalyst/html/com_virtuemart directory to something different to chack that no error message appears using VirtueMarts default templating.
