Checkout Step change - After Payment select back to cart

Dear good masters,

please help me at a problem. I use VM 2.012 with Joomla 2.5.7. I search the solution for this problem:
User select a product and go to the cart. When a klick of payment select, go to the editpayment?Itemid=0.
Now select the user a payment method and save this. But now go to the adress-site (editaddresscheckoutBT?Itemid=0)...
That not good for me! I will this the user go back to the cart view with the changed/saved payment method.

Where can me help please?
I edit the select_payment.php from components/com_virtuemart/views/cart/tmpl. But in line 39 is the save button. I try a diffrent solutions, but when click submit come to the adress-site.....Where must i was change that the user after selected a payment methode and save this, go back to the cart view with the changed payment method.

Having same problem ---  Joomla 2.5.8, VM 2.0.16 and Daycounts Pre-order 2.3.3.  When I try to change payment method and click save, I get this "500 - View not found [name, type, prefix]: cart_preorder, html, virtuemartView" and this is the address in bar "http://www.yoursportslayaway.com/index.php/component/virtuemart/".  Any help?  This is a real show stopper!

So it is something to do with Daycounts Pre-order  - ask the developer of that extention. Maybe it needs updating for the current VirtueMart version.
