[SOLVED]automatic shipment selection doesn't work JM2.5 VM2.018a

on my shop at www.sologvind-energi.dk the automatic shipment selection has stopped working. i've updated to latest virtuemart-AIO and latest Virtuemart release with no change.

i'm using the default shipment plugin, there are no country limitations and the product itself has all dimensions and weight added. what further issues could there be?

i've been around every thread i could find on this fine forum with the same issue, they seem to be able to solve the problem but i'm just not getting anywhere!

UPDATE:

it seems i've managed to fix the problem, although i can give no technical description of how

i deleted the old shipment options and put in new ones, this time with no other info other than weight and price. now shipping is correctly calculated.
