Help to Hide product_id and category in menu links

Hi All,
I have read the forum and still not able to fix the current issue on my site. www.desidesign.com.au
Currently i am getting the product and category id displayed on my site when i click on either a product or catergory for my virtuemart site.

eg.. http://www.desidesign.com.au/womens-wear/salwar-kameez/readymade-salwar?view=productdetails&virtuemart_product_id=16&virtuemart_category_id=24

I would like to remove the following....  ?view=productdetails&virtuemart_product_id=16&virtuemart_category_id=24

I have VM 2 in my site with .htaccess and url rewriting enabled.
i have also created another menu item for VM frontpage without a module.

I appreciate all your help.

Looks like you found the VM SEO settings meanwhile. However, if you want to improve i.e. your "category/7" in your current url ...desidesign.com.au/mens-wear/category/7, I think you need to look at your third party menu. It's not a Joomla or VirtueMart default display of urls.

Go to joomla admin area.
Site-> Global Configuration-> site -> SEO Settings
say yes to Search "Engine Friendly URLs"

I use this joomla 2.5 and vm 2.0x

This works
http://shoeg.in, http://maxartkiller.in
