Question on Product Image Scaling & Feature Request

Hi. VM2 has the option to configure an image with and height for thumbnails through the configuration menu, in the admin area. First, I need to know if I can tell VM to scale my images proportionally while keeping a fixed height, since right now it is doing so but keeping a fixed with instead (maybe setting one dimension to zero?) My feature request is to include more options in this area, so I can set an axis, produce images with exact dimensions, automatically crop images if needed, and so on.

If this looks impossible for you (the VM development team & contributors), I'd like to hear suggestions from you. I need my images to match a specific height, and scale its width proportionally.
