Sending Details in Email After Purchase

Is there a way to have VM send more details in the emails that are being sent to the customers?

From what I understand, the only thing that is being sent is the method of payment, order number, dollar amount and transaction ID.

I need to know how can I add the summary of the items purchased and the price paid to the email?

Edit the email templates to add your additional queries/fields & use overrides. /views/invoice/tmpl/
