Multiple layouts for products

VM 2.0

I would like to have two layouts for my product pages. One that can display the prices and a "add to cart" button. The other won't display the info, only a "ask a question" button.

No product would use both layouts.

Any help is appreciated.

This sort of question has been answered so many times here.

Use template overrides, assigning the overrides to either categories or specific products.  http://dev.virtuemart.net/projects/virtuemart/wiki/Hints_for_the_use_of_the_template_system

I felt like I was following the instructions right and it wasn't working. I'll do some more research.
