PayPal Payment Pro (ECommerce Solutions)

We're using PayPal Payment Pro by ECommerce Solutions and customers with Visa and Mastercard are not having a problem ordering. But when they attempt to use American Express, there seems to be a problem.

Customers are not able to give details regarding the problem (which doesn't help this forum post), but I'm wondering if anyone else has had problems with customers not able to use their American Express checking out?
