Add more than 1 manufacturer

Hi there,

is it possible to add a second (or more) manufacturer dropdown in "product creation" easily?
They should also visible in frontend.

It would also nice if you can tell me which file i need to edit!

I am searching for a while now... so can you give me tip pls?

What i mean is not to save a manufacturer into vm database.
I want to add two or three manufacturers into one product...

ahh lol, my fault.

No that is not possible, because normally one manufacturer is responsible for the product, even when 1000 manufacturers worked on it (like a car). But you can use customfields for that.

The thing is: I am working on a book store and i changed the manufacturer into author. I dont wanna use custom fields because it is nice to click on author info and search for all products by the author.
I dont think that i can get this to work with custom fields...

Sometimes a book have two or three authors.

Maybe its possible with a hack?! Or will this to much work?
What files i need to edit?

Hi, I have the same issue. Bookstore with more than 1 authors /manufacturers/ per book.

Hello,

You could use custom fields for Authors. Manufactures i believe is the publishers that publish that book, the writers is something else...
