How to copy database to other site

Hey gues,
I have some problems with the database. My problem is how to copy products and category from 1.5 joomla site with 1...virtuemart to another 2.5 joomla site with 2.0.8 virtuemart? I tried everything but only if i copy row to row only then it works... but these metod is too slow....

i have the precise same issue... i have a VM 1.17 on a joomla 1.5 site, and i need to move EVERYTHING over to a different site running VM 2.08e and joomla 2.5... help!!

Please take a carefull read on that migration guide. You should first migrate all your data to a new vm2 installation (test installation), resolve issues regarding your data, test it and after you can transfer your data to your vm2 installation on production (users, categories, products, products images,etc,etc).

If you have more specific questions you can create a new tread.
