New payment plug-in dev problem

Hey all, wondering if you can help me.

I'm developing a new payment plug-in for Virtuemart 2. I have been able to get the plug-in to install the files correctly (including language files) and appear as an option in for payments, but the problems I have at the moment are:

• The language file doesnt seem to be applied to my Params, so the param name is being displayed instead of the value/text.
• The plug-in settings don't seem to save. It says they're saved successfully but are blanked out after saving.

Are these problems that anyone has coma across before? I can provide the zip as is if needed.
