Error on Front Store

Please I have this error showing on the fron store after installing virtue mart
Warning: fopen() [function.fopen]: php_network_getaddresses: getaddrinfo failed: No such host is known. in C:\wamp\www\Sites\anyiamjewelry\administrator\components\com_virtuemart\helpers\connection.php on line 173

Am using
Currently working with VM2.0.8c on Joomla 1.7.5 PHP 5.3.8

Do not use J1.7.5 which went end-of-life in February and is insecure - the only Joomla versions believed to be secure are 1.5.26 and 2.5.6

For the warning notice, looks like it is related to a mis-configuration on the server with php_network_getaddresses  - turn off warnings http://forum.virtuemart.net/index.php?topic=102555.0
