Price Calculation

Hi,

i'm building a webshop for some engraving shop. Our customers should add a text to engrave for each product. I think we need a custom field to do this. But then the price depends on the number of character the customer text has. Is there a way to calculate the price depending on the number of characters. I'm firm with php, so i think i can do the changes, but I do'nt know where to change the code. Can somebody please help me?

There is a plugin called "VM - Custom, customer text input" that may be just the ticket for you.  It allows pricing per character.  I'll try to find the URL for you (can't locate it just now).
