VM Extensions Shipment for Virtual Products "Upload your files to sell" Problem

I purchased the SVP Extension a few days ago so I could upload an sale mainly pdf files. I have the folder set up on my server as home/mysite/vmfiles and have my first pdf there. I am using VM 2.0.8c with VM - Custom - iStraxx product download_vm2.0.6_1.2

I have tried to contact support after going over the Installation Instructions on their site. I can't get by the "Upload your files to sell" step 3 and the instructions seem redundant and are as follows. 
Upload your files to sell

In VirtueMart administration, choose the menu Shop > Media Files.
Click on the button New, to create a new media.
Set the role to "for Sale". Set the "Image Action" to "Upload" and press save/store.
Go in VirtueMart administration, choose the menu Shop > Media Files.
Create a new media. Set the role to "for Sale". Set the "Image Action" to "Upload" and press save/store.

When I save I get messages like this.

vmError: Couldnt create thumb, file not found /home/jsdigital/vmfiles/exmpl_wms_01.png
vmError: Couldnt create thumb, file not found /home/jsdigital/vmfiles/exmpl_wms_01.png

It only happens when I select the for sale optionif I select Displayable or   Downloadable it seems to be fine.

I really need to get up and running ASAP and any help would be appreciated. I hope when this step is resolved there won't be another.

Hi I suppose almost every answer is to speak with the third party developer - I'm sure that they will help - Often the company will be small - or away for a few days - The weekend is different days in every part of the world.

I can see that the main issue is the upload and the taking of the files. -  Firstly can you see the products in the media folder and if you can then they did upload - then maybe speak with the VM - custom download developer -  ( A quicker answer of help may be in the forum for third party developers) -
