Update VM2.0.x lost config settings - "Info: Taking config from file"

Hi,

I am updating from stable versions only on my local host, and I again lost the settings for the config:
after the standard install (not live install) from com_virtuemart.2.0.8a.zip, I had the message "Info: Taking config from file"
(and same with com_virtuemart.2.0.8b.zip).

How to avoid it?

And maybe related to another topic "How to write/update virtuemart.cfg with the current settings?"
