Installation problem: Maximum execution time exceeded

Hello,

During the installation (on Joomla 2.5) I get the following error:

PHP Fatal error:  Maximum execution time of 300 seconds exceeded in /www/html_public/GreenFormatics/new.kartonjatek.hu/libraries/joomla/filesystem/archive/tar.php on line 159

(The execution time limit was 30 seconds by default, then I tried higher value, but it isn't works.)

What can be caused this problem? Any solution?

On which component does this timeout occur?

Sounds like the server is slow at handling tar.gz files, so one option is to unpack locally and repack as a zip file and try installing that, but the package size will be bigger when you do that, and upload_max_filesize may need increasing.

ZIP file uploads has worked.

The timeout problem occured when I tried to install the VM main package.
