Not saving - nothing is saving in backend

Hi,
i just installed Virtuemart with the 2 packages: com_virtuemart.2.0.6.zip and com_virtuemart.2.0.6_ext_aio.zip on joomla 2.5
Everything is up to date ... joomla, VM, tables ...
I am trying to configure shop, set up product categories etc, but NOTHING IS SAVING ...

I was seeking here in the forum, i found topics talkong about jquery.cookies.js, but i did not found that file, nor the mention of that file in the whole filesystem of my site ...
I am hopeless ...

Is there some known solution, something i can do to make work this virtuemart?

now i installed sample data and sudenly the system is saving my settings, but there is a new problem again ...
i have 3 languages page - french (default), slovak and english.
a modified the sample data for french and saved
then tryed to turn on slovak, but there was no slovak in options ...
so i turned to english, modified the data and saved again ...
the screen i falled back was again the sample data filled washupito stuff (under french language) until i did not made a selection (french or english) - then the saved data appears ...

is this normal? seems to be a nightmare.

what could i make wrong?
what can i do to make this thing just work ... ?
