Problems with Purchased extension 'Downloadable Products' for VM2

Not sure if this is the right place to post this , but i looked everywhere for support after purchasing an extension for VM2 and no luck ... so here i am .

I purchased the 'Downloadable Products'  installed it on  VM2.02 ,   Joomla 1.5.x.
Followed instructions , all good until i test it .... i add a digital product to the cart ... there is the mention 'Downloadable' in the product details ,  i check out and  i still get charged a $xx  shipping fee, which is assigned form the VM2 default shipping module which i use for non downloadable products. Although there is only one 'digital' product in the cart ,  i'm forced to select a shipping option to checkout and none are available for the product . If i set the cart to auto select a shipping option , it picks the default weight/location one .   What am i missing ?

I already had a hell of a time to try get TAX/GST working correctly on VM2 , i ended up giving up on that after a few hours . either lack of documentation or it just doesnt work correctly .... then wasted hours on custom fields for a simple Tshirt size and also gave up :-)
I'm unsure if those features even work at all really , or VM2 was just released way too early and it's a lack of documentation and pilot error.... but it's free so i can't complain i'm just dealing with it , but i'd like a bit of help with that 35 EURO extensions because if that doesnt work neither ... and it does not at the moment , my whole installation is useless and i'd have to start from scratch with WM1.

Still no help / support  :-(   i guess this extension doesn't work , should i paypal dispute it or wait a bit ? :-(

Hello Michael,
please apologize, the forum was not really meant for people like you who just need a bit support to get it running. The forum was meant for discussion about the product, ideas for enhancments and things like this.
I am already quite sure that the problem is just by uploading the media as "downloadable" and not as "for sale". The shipping is also relativly easy to solve. Give your real products a small weight,.. create a shipment for free with maximum weight 1g, so it will choose automatically the right shippment for you.
