First of all I apologize for my English. :)
I tried to search the problem but didnt find it, so I hope nobody asked this before.

Now the problem:
I tried clicking on ad to the cart but nothing happend. So I looked into FAQ and disabled Virtuemart jQuery as it was here http://forum.virtuemart.net/index.php?topic=95233.0 .
But when I clicked on the add to cart button it showed page where i was able to choose how to pay and other stuff but the cart was still empty and the total prize was 0,00 €.
I tried to disable or enable Google jQuery but it didn't change anything.

The site is here http://www.labmouse.cekuj.net/   it is mostly in czech but I think you'll be able to see the problem anyway.

testrat you are not loading jQuery at all - you must load one version of the jQ library as AJAX is required to update the cart.

luftkaffe without a url it is impossible to be specific, but it is always due to a JavaScript conflict or failure to load some of the JS library files.

Thank you. But if i'm not using any jQuery now, why desn't it work with the Virtuemart jQuery?
And how am I supposed to get any other jQuery working with Virtuemart?

I am having the same problem here: http://www.slimme-uilen.nl/winkel/groep-34/lichaam-2-detail Click on the "voeg toe" (add to cart) button and nothing happens. When i do exactly the same on my local machine (copied the files and the database) then is DOES work.

My system is running joomla 2.5.2 and VM 2.0.2.

Any ideas? I just put this site LIVE, so it would be great to have a quick solution.

I think this i something other than just a javascript problem. I am using the beez template, loading google scripts via plugin and disabled all moduls. It doesnt work.

Having same issue at http://www.geniusplanet.com right now add to cart is working on IE 9 and Firefox but won't load on Chrome.

Help would be greatly appreciated.

You are also loading two copies of jQuery, one for VM and one for swmenu.

Since the menu is in every page I would like to keep the menu's Jquery running and disable the one from VM, how can I go about doing that without getting bunch of 0 in the cart?

I was able to remove the jquery from loading from swmenu and I even double checked on the source code and the one that's loading are from VM only but still can't get it to work on Chrome.

It works OK on my Chrome, so either update your Chrome version or try with Chrome on another PC.

No, it doesnt work from here. I´m using Firefox 10.0.2
It looks like  virtuemart have a big compability problem.

Chrome works fine, but i cant force all my customers to download Chrome.

I had no better idea so I tried to reinstall joomla 2.5. It didn't helped, so I tried joomla 1.7. And it is working.
But when I add anything to the cart, the cart still looks like empty untill i refresh the page.
I have no idea why.

On my site, sometimes it worked and sometimes it doesn't no matter what browser or what version, something is happening on my clients' computer.

I know I only have one Jquery loading, any clue?

renevm you are installing VM jQuery and then another version is installed by your template -

Thanks for your advice. I removed the Jquery from the template, but still the same problem. It's even "nicer" than this. When i run the same website (copied database and files clean) it does run nicely on my local machine, but NOT on the live environment. What is blocking this thing? I really don't understand.

It could be a PHP version issue. It has been suggested elsewhere that Artisteer templates have some unpredictable behavior on some hosts, maybe that is related.

jamedia, you issue does look like a JS conflict, as AJAX does not seem to run at all. Most likely conflict is with http://www.geniusplanet.com/modules/mod_swmenufree/transmenu_Packed.js - this swmenu script must be 8 years old now, so maybe try a different menu module?

I'm using J2.5.2, VM2.0.2, PHP 5.3.8 and have my own VPS.

I got problem of add-to-cart button. Pop-up can display properly in Opera 11.5, Chrome 17, FF, IE9, Safari 5, but NOT IE8, IE7, Safari on iPad (especially my client wants the site to be able to load on iPad). Please help me to check.

I tried to disable VM JQuery, disable external GG JQuery. The same problem still there.

The current http://casafortegroup.com/sf/index.php/shop here is with GG JQuery enabled and VM JQuery disabled.

willxiao0790 add to cart & facebox work fine for me on your site with IE9

Prev/next buttons are not included in that facebox script but you can use another, as discussed in other parts of this forum.

I took your advise and I dumped swmenu for maximenu ck and nothing has changed, still having the same issue as before on adding products to cart, could you please take a look at www.geniusplanet.com and see if you can find anything else that might be conflicting with VM's jquery.

Are you sur you activated jquery in virtuemart.
Backoffice virtuemart -> configuration -> templates -> use jquery (in the bottom right)

I changed templates and there's no result (tried at beez as well), it seems a javascript conflict

EDIT: I found the problem! Just disable Google Jquery! The popup and cart works fine now!

For those still having problems with add to cart, which is almost always caused by JavaScript conflicts, try using this plugin: http://extensions.joomla.org/extensions/core-enhancements/scripts/12995

Once i installed and turned it on, it has some progress as below,
1) the quantity +/- button is working fine, the number responses timely when press the button +/-
2) when you press" add to cart" button, it has not response at all, but when you refresh your page, the item is added to the cart successfully.


The next step I am looking for the cart pop up message box to confirm the item and update the item to the Shop Cart box at the same time without refresh the page, I tried different combination of the options of the jquery integrator but not positive.

I've just updated my site to VM 2.0.3 E, it's perfect.

All problems of add-to-cart, number of products per page and Tax rounding have been solved.

Only one left is I want to implement prev/next for product thumbnail pop-up.

For the customs field, when I apply the SIZE, I want the size drop-down list to display as below
SINGLE: $60
DOUBLE: $70
QUEEN: $80
KING:  $90


instead of: Price: $60
SINGLE: No additional charge
DOUBLE: $11
QUEEN: $22
KING:  $33

And in fact it was wrong, the price is included GST, it should be $10, $20, $30.


Any helps for this would be much appreciated.

I just notice something, whenever I use www.geniusplanet.com it works perfectly but soon as I remove the www. and keep just geniusplanet.com the cart won't load.

Is anybody else experiencing this?

p.s: I tried all the jquery plugins but none of them worked for me.

jenkinhill: I tried the jQuery posted by you. It is worikng exactly the same way as my virtuemart jQuery.
When I click on add to cart button, nothing would happen but when I refresh the whole page, the item is somehow in the cart.
Could you help me to write a script or something so that whenever I click on add to cart button the whole page will refresh?
It would be very helpful. I know it's a poor solution, but I need at least something and really soon. My time is almost up. Thank you very much. :)
