On my website it is showing the addresses like this: http://www.computerwormsliverpool.com/component/virtuemart/computing1/laptops

So basically its showing component within the address, i never had this issue with joomla 1.5 but i did a complete wipe and started using 1.7 yesterday and now i see 'component' within the address of any categories created within virtuemart 2.2.

Any ideas?

create a joomla menu item to the vmart frontpage layouts.

ALSO: for best url structure. Create joomla menu links to each category.

On my normal menu along the top i have created the menu links and they display correctly, yet the category menu module displays the links with 'component' within them. Is this a Virtuemart issue?

I have resolved this issue. There was a menu link which was called Components which for some reason was conflicting with a joomla folder called Components.

Changed the alias of the menu to essentials and now its sorted.
