Title: System messages appearing twice

All my system messages are showing up twice....for instance items removed from cart, registration complete etc.
Anyone know why?

Virtuemart version? Joomla Version? Linux/Windows hosted? PHP version?

Sorry, it's Joomla 2.5, VM 2.01 K, Linux, not sure about php version

Hmm, is this a clean install? You should also upgrade Joomla to 2.5.1 as this is what the Development Releases are coded on.

Upgraded to 2.5.1 and problem still persists

have you looked in the template? is the message there twice?
