Title: Modifying text in language files

If i modify any of the standard text in the language files will that be changed when i upgrade to a new version of VM and if so how can i stop that happening?

Language files are in Joomla's language directory. eg in Joomla 2.5.1,   joomla_root/language/en-GB/en-GB.com_virtuemart.(something).ini for English front end language strings.

Do not edit the language file directly, use overrides so your edits are not removed during updates - http://forum.virtuemart.net/index.php?topic=92944.0
