How does a product show up in the "Featured products" list ?

what do you mean?
I put the module "Featured products" on my site, if i select to display "random product" this module shows some products.
But if i select "Featured products" it doesn't show any product.
UPDATE : It already works, i think it has something to do with caching. Sorry.
In the Featured products module settings i set "Number of displayed products" to 4. If i mark more than 4 product as special, is this a rotating list ? Or do i than need a slideshow for this?
I have 2 products set as featured. But I am only getting one product showing under featured on front page. If I disable the one showing, The other one appears in its place. I have set for 3 featured products per row
at the admin site u have checked the feature option when adding products ?????????
