Can someone please point me in the direction of a tutorial on how to have both downloadable products and physical products? I am getting lost in these posts. :P

There is no feature (for free) of downloadable products in VM 2!!!
Only if you pay for an extension like this:

Tikos, are you certain about it?? Actually that's all I need (downloadable products) in my new store :( I was struggling with installation of VM 2 almost month (due to some suhosin error), now - yestarday finally get it work and just started to looking for some info about downloadable products...

Hi Jenkinhill, that's the same plugin as Tikos already pointed to. It's probably great plugin, but I can not spend €35 on something, that I can't even test to see if it will work for what I need :(
Would you know (if anybody know - it must be you) if there is any free solution for downloadable products for VM 2..?
Proof that downloadable is not coming to VM2 - from the paid plugin page:
"This is the company created by the inner VirtueMart core team. We want to ensure the development of vm2 to be the best, free, ecommerce system in the world. "
In other words, this feature is no longer core VM, and has been stripped out by VM developers to sell for 35 Euros.
Not sure how that makes VM "the best, free...."?
