you can do this - It appears that you register everytime - but if you test the site and buy a product using a different email you will notice that customers don't actually register in Joomla nor in Virtuemart.
Done this 100 Times.
The customers details are in the orders in the back end but they can come 100times and keep ordering without oficially registering in both.
