Hi!
Please,
I have installed some other e-commerce solutions that work and that I test, but I encounter a small difficulty
for installing virtuemart 2 on Linux. I have got he file "com_virtuemart.2.0.0_extract_first.zip"
I have installed la Joomla 1.7.3 that work : I access to the Administrator panel... etc.
I have extacted the 2 .zip files (com_virtuemart.2.0.0.zip & com_virtuemart_ext_aio.2.0.0.zip) in the main Joomla Directory
But I have searched and I have tried to find the good explanation to install the Virtuemart 2 on Joomla 1.7.3 : but I do not know how to do that ? :o
I have find some .pdf that speak of many things but nothing seems to work.
Thank you ;)
Sounds like you need to understand how to use Joomla first.
See http://docs.joomla.org/Help17:Extensions_Extension_Manager_Install
and although out of date with VM versions and some advice, this is mainly valid: http://dashhelp.com/virtuemart-2-0-for-joomla-1-7-getting-started-for-beginners/
Hi!
Thank you for your answer ;)
I have removed all folders and I have dropped the Database to clean all.
I have restart installation from zero, I am sure that Joomla 1.7.3 installation is clean.
Yeah I have find the way to do that automatically with your help ;)
Here the image to explain how upload extensions... (http://wordpress.dashhelp.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/11/Step_2._ACTION__Install.png)
But I encounter an Unknow problem with the Automatic installation :o
I have tried to download and install the file :
com_virtuemart.2.0.0.zip
I got that error :o
JFolder::create: Impossible to create the Directory
component installation : failed to create directory site /joomla/components/com_virtuemart
Please do you have an idea from where come that problem ?
Thank you ;)
