Title: 404: Not Found error
Post by: jamaicabob on January 05, 2012, 18:55:59 PM
I'm new to Vmart (2.0.0) and am getting an error that I haven't found listed here.

I've attached Vmart to a menu link and when I click on that item, I get a 404 error: 'Sorry, but the content you requested could not be found.'  I'm not sure what I've missed.
I've added sample data and the menu item is pointed to 'Category Layout'.

I do notice that on the front end that my link is:

jamaicabob.com/esku/esku/component/virtuemart

But the link in the Vmart backend is:

index.php?option=com_virtuemart&view=category&virtuemart_category_id=3

Is there a setting I'm missing?

Thx.

you have SEF problems,  Looks like most of the links dont work on your site

I always use
https://www.akeebabackup.com/software/admin-tools.html
To create my htaccess.

Thanks for the very timely response.

I'll disable my sef for now to see if i can get things going and then add that back into the mix.

Have you been able to find a solution to this problem?

I require SEF to work..

Nothing is working unless, I turn it off..... otherwise I get 404 Not Found for everything.. same issue.

Anything I can do to fix this?

are you using native joomla sef?

you might need to re-create your htaccess

I have an htaccess file so I can use the native joomla SEF, and rewriting the links.

How would I have to change it? I'm sorry I don't know much about this particular problem :(

I really appreciate the help.

I'm fiddling with it as we speak but not having any luck :(
