It seems this wiki page for product plugins (vmcustom)

is outdated since RC3
I'm having hard times to update extensions so when you have 2 minutes , thanks a lot for updating the page.
For now I'm trying to get a value from a field set in plgVmOnProductEdit
from plgVmOnDisplayProductFE, but using the $group var only gets the plugin parameters, and I'm not sure what to use to get the product custom field value.
I'll try using the $product...
Any help apreciated

Yes we know . All the wiki about plugins is out of date. This is one of our task for the next months.
Is the page for Payment Plugins also out-of-date?
At least when I'm checking the code of standard and paypal plugins it seems that the functions, even class names are different than the ones in documentation?

But as you said, the 2 payment plugins are a good start :)
Soon there will be authorize.net, which is a third way of handling payment. I think it will help you also.
