VM 2.0 doesnt't even install at all for me. I tried on brand new installs of J1.5.25 and J1.7.3.

I was able to install VM 2.0. I did not extract the zip file prior to installing. Newbie mistake I guess. But as a new user I installed only few packages, and the common trend is:
1. download zip file.
2.Install from downloaded zip file.
I also noticed that plenty of extensions prefer to have multiple zip files installed. Joomla... for some silly reason has yet to provide an adequate extension installer. So the blame for VM installation issues falls more toward the Joomla team.
