but no fields... (RC3)
cheers
JM1.7.3 VM RC3_m
Hi,
I have just carried out a fresh installsation of both JM & VM. Added 1 Shopper, placed item in cart having added a Deleivery Address and Saved - then succesfully paid via PayPal Sandbox (although failed correctly to Retun to Shop, hence Status is still Pending).
The Shopper Address fields/data are all visible in the Front End, together with "Save & "Cancel" - seems to be no problem here (although the Back-End does not display the Address data.
You may need to provide greater detail of your problem.
Hi,
Quotebut no fields... (RC3)
If you don't use the version RC3 M, please update.
You should have 2 tabs displayed. "Shipment Method Inforamtion", and "Configuration".
If not as said
atb, please provide us more informations in order to help you.
J15? J17?
Are you updating, from which version to which version,
etc..

My understanding is that the original question related to the Front-end (Shopper) situation of "Add/Edit shipmemt...." which is why it is correct to see "Save" & "Cancel" rather than the Back-end with its 2 tabs.

My primary reason for my first response was to confirm that the "Address" items were correctly displayed on my "Front end", unlike the original report (which possibly was not using RC3_ver_m).
HOWEVER, I have now gone back to my Front-end, having logged out as a "Shopper" that had (partially) suceeded with a PayPal payment, logged back in as the SAME "Shopper", added a new item to the Cart, viewed the Cart and found that the "Shipping Address" detail is no longer there!
I note that the BT (Bill to) Address is in table .._virtuemart_userinfos but no stored ST (Ship to) Address is in this table.
My understanding is if the "ST Address" is the same as the "BT Address" then it is not necessary to explicitly enter the "ST Address"

Ok.. now i understand, you were talking about the FE.

the details of te shippig address are ther. If you click on the "Add/Edit shipment address " , at the bottom of the page you have your ST adress stored. Just click on it.

Hi, thanks for getting back - I hope that we are not going off the original Topic posed by hans654.
OK, I have now entered a Shipping Address (ST) via the FE - it has been added to the Billing Address (BT) in the database.
So, first I thought that if the default "Shipping Address" was the same as the "Billing Address" then it should not have to be entered - so I presume that this assumption is only made at the point od Checkout and not stored as a "Shipping Address"
HOWEVER, as before, if I log out and back in again to the Front End then neither a previously stored "Billing Address" nor a specifically entered "Shipping Address" are any longer displayed. Hence it seems that the Addresses have to be entered for each session, yet they are in the database. Clearly not the expected behaviour, or has something not been set correctly?
Please ensure that your table `#__virtuemart_userinfos` has the following attributes
`virtuemart_userinfo_id` char(32) NOT NULL DEFAULT '',
Edit: This is now different, you should ensure that it is int(1) autoincrement
Hi,
Txs we found the stupid error.
Fixed in revision RC3
Hi,
@atb:
Big txs for reporting that error. We saw your post 5 seconds after publishing the RC3. :)
We unpublished the release , and included the fix.
@hans654
Please, please , please: in order we help you or you help us, you absolutly need to be more explicit when you report a problem. Otherwise, we don't understand what you mean or spend to much time to try to find out what is your problem and how to reproduce it.
Same error here.
The pages "Please select a shipment method" and "Please select a payment method" in frontend show only the save and cancel-Buttons. Payment and shipment methods are installed in the backend.
I think it could be something with the language tables. I`ve installed the german language files.

Please provide a screenshot
hey alatak,
I'll try next time. I think. all would be easier, if you allow the attachement of screenshots.
Also you should clean up the development pages. It's not easy to find the newest vm version.
Cheers.

Ahh,
every developers day offers so many new interfaces, so he can easily overlook something...
I restored the system defaults under "DB Tools" and now it works. But I don`t know what was wrong before.
I prefer to use "Install tables or if necessary update them". More info here http://dev.virtuemart.net/projects/virtuemart/wiki/Tools
I am still having the same problem as in the first posting: "Add/Edit shipment address screen shows only "save" and "cancel" button"
I am using J1.7.3 and V2.0
I can see the billing address fields but with the shipping address fields the page is empty! only save and cancel buttons

I have a live shop - can I restore the system defaults?
Because I am still having the address problem!
Hello,
nobody has some hint for me? :(
Seagul
Hello,
same problem here: a shopper can't supply a shipping address. I attach a screenshot for the developers.

Thanks to Milbo the problem is solved!!! :D
Go to "Configuration" - "Shopper fields"
and then "publish" the necessary address fields also on the Shipment form (see column "Show in shipment form").
Works perfect!
Arrgghhh - shame on me - I overlooked that... :-[
The "save" address is shown off from the handheld screen layout. Is there a way to configure how it shows up? Please advice.
