Title: Text edition rights, HMTL and VM2
Post by: Elnino on November 09, 2011, 23:41:30 PM
Hi there,

I'm running Joomla 1.7.2, VM 2.0.0-RC-2M and JCE 2.0.17. I have a problem with the text edition.
Whatever style I apply with JCE in the Product description text area for example is removed on save ... Even line break are removed. Basically any HTML tag is removed on save. I don't have this effect in regular Joomla article and it's working absolutely fine.
It's as if there is a permission problem in JCE when using it in VM2.

After few tests I thought it came from JCE but even if I set my editor to "no editor" in Joomla I have this trouble. No HTML is saved in VM2.

Is that a bug or am I missing a permission setting somewhere?

Thanks for your help!

Actually after few search I found a thread that helped me out a lot on this forum.

The problem is that your username should belong to the group "admin" in VM2 --> Orders and shoppers --> Shoppers ... Mine was set to "shopper" by default this is the reason no HTML was saved on save in my description.
