Title: Paypal new API and mastercard problem

Hi

I've set up the Paypal new api and i can make payments with Visa, but when i use Mastercard I get the following error:

Error: Payment could not be processed. Credit Card type selected does not match Credit Card Number.
Error: Failure in Processing the Payment (ps_paypal_api)

Any idea of why this is happening? I have a Paypal Website Payments Pro account in the UK.

are you using a 3rd party web payment pro?

If so, I would ask them

No, I'm using the Virtuemart Paypal new API. Joomla 1.5.2, Virtuemart 1.1.9. Paypal payments pro in the UK. Thanks
