Hello people.
I've just installed VM2 latest version (2.0.0 RC2i) and I've just noticed there are no shipping or payment methods pre-defined/installed. Do we have to create our plugins our own in this version or they will be developed by some1 eventually?
I just want to use the Cash on Delivery payment method like the one in vm1. Is this developed yet or not? Do I have to write it by myself?

Yes there are. Not a lot , but you do have Cash on Delivery payment method.
If you don't see them, may be you forgot to install the aio component?
That component contains shipping, payment plugins, modules, and custom fields plugins.

I don't think you need a plugin for that.
You probably should set it up like...
Payment Methods - VM Admin Panel > Shop > Payment Methods
1. Cash on Delivery
2. VISA/Electronic Money - You'll need a payment processor for this, PayPal is the easiest to set-up
Delivery Methods - VM Admin Panel > Shop > Shipping Methods
1. Self-Collection - Set it up with no fees and the Title should be self-collection...I guess
2. Courier
It's quite straight forward to set it up...just check out the admin panel and the relevant methods to set it up.

It seems however that "Cash on Delivery" (aka COD) has
completely disapeared from v2.0.2 up v2.0.6a.
Indeed, brute-force inspection of the install archive content (VM + AIO) reveals that the string "Cash on Delivery" is absent, except in mysterious comment line (with a typo!)

Thus my questions are:
- How to recover the genuine "Cash on Delivery" that existed in VM1 ?
- How to implement a "Pay by check" payment method ?
- How to implement a "Pay by bank transfer (wire)" payment method ?

Just wondering if you read the post answers as in 2.0.20b the answer is still the same. You just need to type "cash on delivery" as stated below in the original post. There is no need to set up an extension or hack. just type - pick up cash. etc
