How can configure some predefine payment method with this version
Thanks
Brijesh
Hi,
Yes the payments are not pre confiured.
Please go inthe Shop > Payment methods to configure them.
A the moment, we have Paypal, but not yet Authorize.net.
Hello,
For authorize.net, look here:
http://forum.virtuemart.net/index.php?topic=91295.0
Is there any way to configure the standard payment to work with Authorize.net without having a working plugin for it?
hello,
i am new to vm2...i have the same problem with payment and shipping methods...how can i configure the pp plugin and are there any shipping methods existing?
cheers
slotty
Hi,
Did you try that?
QuotePlease go in the Shop > Payment methods to configure them.
And do the same for the shipping methods:
go in the Shop > Shipping methods
yes...got it^^....thank you for the fast response:)
Regarding configuring payment methods for VM2, my client has asked me to set up VM so that users enter credit card details, but he later manually enters them in his terminal to process the payment.
Is it possible to configure VM2 to do this? i.e. ... no transaction actually takes place, just captures the payment details.
thanks,
Geoff

Not at the moment. I will be done, and we will do it so it is PCI compliant.

I know you all are working hard and I appreciate that. Any timeframe for this?

Our goal rigth now, is to do the RC3, with all the nice improvments
The payments can come after since they are plugins, and can been installed separatly.
I have a site with VM2 almost completed, but unsure how to set up a payment method to capture credit card details.
Are there any instructions available?
thanks,
Geoff
Geoff see message above: http://forum.virtuemart.net/index.php?topic=91116.msg308206#msg308206
If planning off-line processing, a problem is than in some countries it is illegal to store the CVV2 in a database where there may also exist card number, expiry date and other customer data. This means that even if the highest level of encryption is used to store (and retrieve) data it is still necessary to clear the setup with the card mercant processor.
Paypal is already available and Authorize.net should be available soon. http://forum.virtuemart.net/index.php?topic=91295.msg308407#msg308407
thanks jenkinhill. imo paypal stinks and I steer as clear of them as I can, as often as I can.
a.net is a good alternative.
has anyone used squareup? it seems like the split card number/offline method would work great with them.
Is there also an option to pay with bank transfer
So the don't have to pay when they order, but they have to pay in (like) 20 days
So they just get a message when they confirmed the order with something i've written
I hope you can understand my english

Looking for exactly the same thing anyone??
I need this as well. I can't wait to see a plugin for this. I want to use VM2 so bad but without this feature I really cannot.
VM is coming along nicely. I love the latest refinements in SVN.

YES...PAYPAL STINKS IS RIGHT!!! Professional US business do NOT like. They want to run their own CC manual OR even better, tie processing into their own bank merchant processing system with 3rd party plugin to do so
Is there any update? I need to set up offline payments ASAP.
Many Thanks
Gary

Thanks Kelvyn, so is this the only option? There wont be an actual payment plugin supplied with VM?
That is the VirtueMart development team version. As it has limited use among VM users due to legal and PCI reasons, it is not included as part of the core. This version is as PCI compliant as the devs could make it.
I have bought this extension, however it does not have the option of 'card type' ? Why is that? Also the credit card number is the same in the email as it is in the back end, for example 0000000xxx - It should have part of the number in each surely? But it says the same thing so it there doesnt seem any way to know the last few digits?
Gary
We have a similar problem. I purchased the plugin and installed sucessfully. However the last four digits do not appear anywhere. And the admin emails we recieve do not details any credit card information at all. Considering this is apid extention it does not seem to work. We are using Joomla 2.5 and VM 2.0.2
Any help would be kindly appreciated.
Ok... I purchased this plugin for £30 and there is no support. It just redirects to the VM forum. Is there anyone that can help with this plugin. I dont recieve any of the card details by email and i need a solution asap!
Hi
I'm also looking for this option. Basic Purchase order, like virtuemart 1.9 had

Basic purchase order like cash on delivery etc?
You use the standard payment method
Sorry for the delayed response for your problems but the Plug-in creator was on the joomla day this last 4 days.
For missing payment plug-in, this is coming one after one to include all necessary plugins for Virtuemart 2.

Bad timing ;) - as Electrocity already said, the developer of the payment plugin attended Joomla Day in France over the weekend.
Are you using the latest version of the payment plugin? (I think it's ...1.3)
On my installation it works. I do receive the email part. In order to see the part which is temporarily stored in your database, DON'T set the order status to "Confirmed" before you noted the card details. Setting the order to "Confirmed", automatically deletes the entry in the database.
I am using version 1.3 (The Current Version) and have al the VM plugins enabled.
Everything works fine apart from the delivery of the card details via email and the transaction details are stored within VM. I do recieve the Virtuemart email however it does not include the card information required to complete the transaction!!!
Any suggestions? I have run out of ideas!!
Normally you see the card information in 'Orders & Shoppers' - 'Orders'. Then click on the "order number" at the left. The card information is in the lower part of the order details - but only as long as the order status is "Pending". If you set the order status to "Confirmed", you automatically delete the card details in the database.
I understand how the system works. I am only receiving partial payment details in the admin pannel and have no way to access the last four digits of the credit card. As for as i understand this should be emailed. I am not receving anything appart from the standard virtuemart details for the order.
We obviously need the final four numbers to complete the transaction.
The final four numbers are in the email sent to the vendor. You may try one of the latest development versions (2.0.3e or 2.0.3g) from here: http://dev.virtuemart.net/projects/virtuemart/files (http://dev.virtuemart.net/projects/virtuemart/files).
If it still doesn't work, then something with your email setup apparently is wrong.
Like i said previously... i am recieving vendor emails from VM but without any payment information. If i cnahe the payment type to cheque i recieve appropriate information to state this. However, using this plugin i have no payment information recorded. There is nothing wromg with the email system. Its the plugin that is at fault in this case.
Then download and install one of the developer versions I mentioned above. I just looked up the developer's repository and there has been a bugfix after the release of version 2.0.2, which addressed an email problem. (Click on 'Install tables or if necessary update them' in the Tools & Migration view afterwards)
Thankyou for your help... That has fixed the problem at last. I didn't update before as i wanted the most recent stable release for the site.
