Which version of VirtueMart 2 are you using? Latest release (1.9.8.RC2f) is available here: http://dev.virtuemart.net/projects/virtuemart/files (http://dev.virtuemart.net/projects/virtuemart/files)
I found a post under languages and downloaded all the en-GB language files and download them to languages folder and that fixed it. It was that version, yes.
Hi,
Where did you find this post?
I'm having the same problem.
Thanks
I confirm this problem
Ok,
I have just solved it.
Just go here for the correct files for admin: https://dev.virtuemart.net/svn/virtuemart/trunk/virtuemart/administrator/language/en-GB/
And here for correct files for user end: https://dev.virtuemart.net/svn/virtuemart/trunk/virtuemart/language/en-GB/
Beats me why these files are not in the core installation but now it works.
because these files are almost daily updated?
I don't think it matters.
The fact is, the files in the core installation I've just downloaded aren't working and I had to search for several hours for the solution.
Why not add a small friendly comment during installation like: "if you are having problems with language, you can download the language files at..."
This problem won't bother me anymore but I think others might run into it (at least until VM2 will go fully live).

...because at the time when the VM2
Release Candidate 1.9.8.f was uploaded the developers were unaware of this small bug (actually just a small typo). When you decide to test a Beta or RC version, you can't expect to get a perfect (stable) version. If you want to get bugfixes much quicker, please have a look here: http://dev.virtuemart.net/projects/virtuemart/wiki/Setting_up_a_Development_Environment (http://dev.virtuemart.net/projects/virtuemart/wiki/Setting_up_a_Development_Environment) :)
Didn't get what the typo was, but it was quite annoying... VM is much bigger than the translation, so all in all, the time it saves me is much more than what I spent "fixing" this bug.
Thanks a lot :)
