How do I set up Virtuemart to calculate the shipping price depending on product weight using UPS api for rate. Can it calculate the shipping price automatically? Then what ?
What does it do when it connect to UPS since I have to enter the shipping price manually.
Same for USPS.

You need to go to Administration->Admin->Configuration, then on the "Shipping" tab, select the UPS module.
Then go to Administration->Store->Shipping Module List, click "Configure Ship Method" under the UPS module. You'll need to enter your UPS API credentials here, and select some services to offer your customers.
After that, everything is automatic.
