I would like to create a database for 1000's of items with multiple atributes. Standard Point of Sale Shopping carts are too simple. I am currently using Joomla and Virtue Mart and it is hard to display that information the way I want with the information and options I need..

I maintain 9,000 products using Openoffice.org Calc in combination with CSV improved (http://www.csvimproved.com/) to transfer data to/from a standard VirtueMart site.
