I'm at a loss on how to do this. I am able to use the regular PayPal options from virtuemart, but am confused on what information I need from paypal. Just the API username and password or the text certificate?
What are the steps?
Any help would be appreciated.
In VM >= 1.1.5 there are two PayPal payment methods.
1. Legacy, equals to Website Payment Standard, you just need to insert your PayPal account e-mail, that's it.
2. API, equals to Website Payment Pro, which includes TWO methods: Express Checkout and Direct Payment
2.1 Insert API credentials (username, password AND signature)
2.2 Choose if you want to use Direct Payment or not (Express Checkout is always enabled, though you can choose to show its button or not)
2.3 That's it.
I've done the steps above and when I hit complete transaction I get this error message...
Error: Paypal did not complete the transaction. Please try again in a little while.
Error: Failure in Processing the Payment (ps_paypal_api)
I double checked the API credentials and they are fine.
Any ideas? I've seen a bunch of modules to go along with Virtuemart and the Paypal website payment pro.... do I really need one of those?
