On payment methods other than paypal ("direct credit" and "phone with cc") a 'purchase order' is created and emailed to both the buyer and site admin. However, using paypal, no such purchase order is emailed, and wondering if this is 'normal' or whether there is a tweak that can be enabed whihc will send the purchase order email for these type of purchases as well.
On these the site admin receives a virtuemart generated email letting thme know a paypal transaction has been made (probably on paypal callback i think) ie "PayPal IPN txn on your site" subject line.
But no details of the actual order appear to be emailed.
any ideas?

Chekc what you have set in the papal payment method for
order status for pending payments
It may be cancelled?

Pending payments is set to "Pending", so I don't think that's the issue
but worth a look
What version of VM are you running?
Do you run through a secureURL https for paypal?
