Title: UPS options
Post by: cinr11 on February 08, 2010, 21:06:59 PM
I want to offer my customers options for UPS.

I want to add the options below but am not getting it.I went to shipping under configuration. Is this right? I checked off
Standard Shipping module with individual configured carriers and rates. RECOMMENDED ! and also checked off The USPS Shipping module.

I also added the weight of the product in the product Dimension and weight. I also want to add the zip code of the vendor that does the drop shipping to the customer.

UPS Ground ($8.21)
UPS 3 Day Select ($13.15)  -  3 Guaranteed Day(s) To Delivery
UPS 2nd Day Air ($19.23)  -  2 Guaranteed Day(s) To Delivery
UPS Next Day Air Saver ($45.47)  -  1 Guaranteed Day(s) To Delivery
UPS Next Day Air ($49.76)  -  1 Guaranteed Day(s) To Delivery

I know am missing somthing but cant seem to figure it out..Thanks in advance!!!

If you're trying to add UPS options via the standard module (basically tables of prices), then you should post this in the general shipping thread.

If you're trying to use the UPS module, then you should ignore the standard and USPS modules when trying to configure the UPS module, they have nothing to do with each other in terms of getting the UPS module working.

You appear to have set up the UPS module correctly, since you're getting UPS rates back.  What exactly is the problem?

If you want to use a different zip code for different products, I recommend using my UPSv2 module, as it can handle this.

I'm still not 100% sure of what you are trying to do...it sounds like you want to charge fixed fees based on weights and zip code tables?  You might want to post your request in the general shipping thread here:

cinr11, it is against the forum rules (and not in the community spirit) to post the same post / thread in different places.

In my opinion, based on some of your posts (what you want to do compared with your experience), you would be better off looking for commercial help for some of the issues you have.

Custom website development is not something that can just be done just through installing Joomla / VM and hoping people in the forum will spend enough time with you to explain it all to you.

Forums like this work on the basis of give and take, not just take.
