Hoping for some advice. I need to create a shop system where the client goes through a process of customizing their product. Something like need a smarter version of this:

So it funnels you through a selection process, excluding and including product options depending on your previous choices. For instance yu can only get product X in green and yellow whilst product Y comes in blue and pink.
I dont think the product option configuration with virtuemart is appropriate for the task but all suggestions welcome.

Unless you are a developer, you would need to pay someone to do a modification for you. I think that is the best advice, otherwise you will likely waste a lot of time looking for a solution that probably won't do what you need.
