Hi everyone ,
I own a graphic website where i sell stock graphics as download items.I use PayPal as checkout payment system and till now in one year i had two times where someone used hacked PayPal accounts to pay and download my items. The problem is that each time PayPal canceled the transaction after approximately half hour which was enough for those guys to download the items. The nasty think is that PayPal refund the initial frauded account and i remain with no money and with graphic items stolen.Did someone know a solution for the basic PayPal payment option to delay the sending of the digital items with 1-2 hours after Order Status for successful transactions is confirmed.
I've seen other posts where people are saying that download transactions are working properly that it's instantly sending the codes right away instead of waiting for a confirmed payment from paypal. Is this also happening to you?
I've got a couple of sites that we haven't pushed live yet that is purely download based, I guess I'll have to do some checking myself to see what is going on.
I'll keep you posted.
Hi there,
Regarding your problem I come up with a different kind of solution. Use your archiving software to add a password and after purchase send a delayed e-mail containing the password ...
Do you think you can use this ? If you spend some time you can also come up with an automation system for this procedure ...
