So far, everything is working properly.
But nowhere can I find the step to test the cart with a test Visa nr (4111etc) via Authorize.net.
I have Authorize codes correctly in VM.
I have VM set to testmode in PaymentMethod Configuration
I have set Authorize.net in test mode.
Add an item to cart, get to Checkout, input test Visa nr and Cart say I'm using a test card.
Thanks to anyone to point me at the section in the docs, where this is covered (testing cc).

I gave up on testing with the test Visa number.
Tested with a $1 item. All fine.
Too bad no one had an answer in the past 20 hours :(

Ok, here's the deal. You can't run cards in test mode because you don't have an authorize.net test account. You can run your backend on authorize.net in testmode, but not your website in testmode. Leave your authorize.net in testmode and your website in regular mode.
That's why it won't work. Or just run it in regular mode all around. No test mode at all and charge a penny on a product. That's another work around.
