Title: Online T-shirt site --Rocket Theme: Perihelion
Post by: cassidyb on December 26, 2008, 08:24:49 AM
Aloha VM community,

We just did a full redesign of our online t-shirt site and I would love you all to come over and let us know what you think.

Http://www.socialpropaganda.com (Http://www.socialpropaganda.com)

This is the 2nd redesign while using VM and I have to say it only gets better with age :)

Thanks for the feedback,

//Cassidy B.

really nice - was this created with latest version of vm?

one minor point - the title of the site says 'Welcome to the Frontpage'!

Are you thinking of SEO for the site and if so do you have any components in mind?

excellent work!

Very nice site!

I have 2 questions:

1. how could you make the "new" tags on the module list in the homepage?

2. the In stock: 3 and the dropdown quantity box how can be dynamic? I mean its follow the stock? (in this case I can buy max 3)

Cheers,
Bulesz

I would increase the dropdown submenu's width by 10px...look at "Stores/Social Propaganda" the arrow doesnt fit in...

hi cassidyb,
I use like template Perihelion too, and I've problem with virtuemart.
When I choose a categorie in the shop, i've much space before the product: see that here: http://forcom.web4me.fr/techno-store/index.php?option=com_virtuemart&page=shop.browse&category_id=3&Itemid=53

Had you the same problem? if yes, how did you for resolve it?
it's very important for me.
waiting for your answer.
thanx

Oh, yes...the dreaded "white space".  This problem haunted me on a dozen different sites.  I played with the Joomla templates and hacked the site all to he** just to find the solution was fairly simple.

Go to ADMIN --> CONFIGURATION --> SITE(tab)   then under the cell "Layout" select "configuration" link.

Here you'll see a drop-down list for Product List Style.  The options are:

Changing from "Div Based" to "Table" or vis ves seemed to fix the problem.  The problem lies between this configuration and it's correlation to "Category Template" you've selected.[/color]

Make sure the "Category Template" is 'div-based' if you've selected "Product List" or that it's using a 'table' if your "Category Template is "using a table".

This worked for me on the Perihelion template.  There are other Joomla templates in RocketThemes (Dimensions) that just don't play well with Virtuemart.  Good Luck!

Yes, please help here.  I'm having the same problem with Perehelion and VM playing nicely together and nothing presented here seems to resolve the white space issue, which is different depending on which page you are on.

For example, on the category flypage, product listing behaves nicely, but the Featured Products module is pushed all the way below the right hand (or left, it doesn't matter) modules.  When you click on the Product Details page, it is completely blank up top with the product info pushed below the modules.

I've searched all over this forum before posting here, hoping that someone will give us some wisdom.
